The ‘Color Flood’ campaign certainly seems more targeted toward just getting your attention and not selling the benefits and features of the iPhone XR. Since 1990, the stadium has been used for rock concerts. This commercial features a production line of new iPhone 12s, all being blasted by the color purple. The director was Rupert Sanders, whose slew of commercial credits includes the famous Halo 3 'Believe' diorama spot. The 2019 Apple iPhone XR 'Color Flood' commercial, which featured large numbers of people running in different colored jumpsuits, was filmed at the stadium. The ad concludes with the tagline “Make room for color” shown on the a blue iPhone XR before promoting the Liquid Retina display and briefly showing the front view of each of the other iPhone XR colors. As is so often the case with Apple spots, this one is notable for its soundtrack, which is 'Come Along' by Cosmo Sheldrake. This song has not appeared on any studio-length albums from either artist, but 'Yum' was released as a single in 2022 (via Apple Music ). Most of the colors represent the iPhone XR shades - the design comes in black, white, red, blue, yellow, and coral - although there are mixes of green and purple uniforms in the ad as well. The minute-long video mostly portrays a rather odd totalitarian society (or possibly a prison break?) where people are running through the streets in basic uniforms only distinguished by color. Apple adds to that tradition in a new spot titled 'Color Flood' that blends a metaphor for screen color with another of advertisings favorite inspirationsparkour. ![]() Apple has shared an interesting new ad promoting the colorful iPhone XR called Color Flood. Sony is at the top of list, of course, with the iconic 'Balls' commercial back in 2005 promising 'Color like no other' on its Bravia TV screens.
